Elsevier recognises the value of NODC’s Open Science

28 October 2022

As part of International Open Access Week 2022, Elsevier has recognised the contribution that NODC has made to open science. The reason for this recognition is that between 2019 and 2021, NODC published an open access article with Elsevier that was downloaded a total of 1,863 times. The article was linked to the United Nations (UN) SDG.

"NODC’s open access research is helping solve the world’s greatest challenges. Open science has the power to drive societal progress and promote the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Making knowledge freely available to everyone, everywhere, can play a fundamental role in achieving a sustainable and equitable future". So wrote Elsevier in its congratulatory message to NODC. And we see it the same way.
