Regular monitoring of mesozooplankton abundance and community composition collected with a monthly frequency along the water column in the Gulf of Trieste, from 7/1998 to 12/1998.
Data Records
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 822 records.

Sampling Methods
Zooplankton are collected by vertical hauls from 15 m to the surface using a WP2 net with 200 µm mesh, 56 cm diameter.

Method step description:
- Samples were fixed with Ca(HCO3)2-buffered formaldehyde (2-4% final concentration) for determination of species abundance and composition. Individuals were sorted and counted under binocular microscope.
