- Abstract
- The OMARC consortium encompasses 10 co-ordinators of EC funded projects. The partners are UiT, IGM, UTu, GEOMAR, RCMG, BGS UoB, UBr, Ifremer and SOC. The consortium comprises all the co-ordinators of currently EC-funded ocean margin research projects. Whereas UiT will act as the co-ordinator the other partners will organise the conference within their field of expertise and contribute to the public relations programme by submitting new results originating within the research projects that they co-ordinate and which is of interest to the general public. Together with industry this consortium comprises the most experienced teams in ocean margin research presently available in Europe. In the following the role of the individual partners is described in more detail. One task that all partners have in common is contribution of manuscripts to the public relations of the OMARC office.
