- Abstract
- It aims to enhance European capabilities in the fields of global ocean analysis and associated climate modelling and prediction. To achieve these objectives, the project has two main strands: Improve and extend ocean data assimilation systems, and apply them to produce global ocean analyses over a multi-decadal period. Quantify the benefits of the enhanced assimilation systems through retrospective seasonal climate forecast and through analysis of ocean behaviour in a multi-model framework.
