Abstract: ADRIANE regards the north-eastern extremity of the Adriatic sea, especially the Gulf of Trieste.Aim of the project is to develop, to experiment and to make available a set of parameters for a diagnostic and previsional purpose about weather and oceanographic conditions for the Gulf of Trieste and the North-eastern Adriatic Sea .Finally ADRANE will be a system of services (specific modules that will be managed by a 'user friendly' informatic support Internet accessible) able to supply synoptic tables for a more rational management of environmental hazards and civil defence. It will support the following activities: I.Control and safeguard of the marine environment; II.Management of protected marine areas; III.Management and protection of marine bottom and coastal environment; IV.Maritime works; V.Civil Defence; VI.Management of under jurisdiction waters; VII. Marine transports, included those fast ones; VIII. Sea Aid ; IX. Touristic activities; X.Fishing, acquicolture and maricolture; XI.Oceanographic and meteorological Research.ADRIANE project is articulated in 3 WP:WP1: Analysis and forecast of superficial weather-hydrodynamics conditions;WP2: Analysis and forecast of the three-dimensional hydrodynamic and water column physical structure ;WP3:Production of remote sensing images and statistical studies for the optimization of products.
