Abstract: ADRICOSM Pilot Project aims to implement an integrated coastal zone management system in the Adriatic Sea, consisting of a predictive circulation module and a river basin and wastewater management module. The aim is the prediction of coastal current variability in Near Real Time (NRT), and the monitoring and modeling of a river basin and wastewater system in a test site. The Project involves directly the three Nations, Italy, Slovenia and Croatia, bordering the Northern Adriatic Sea, and French institutions. It is supported by the Italian Ministry for the Environment and Territory (Department for Global Environment, International and Regional Conventions). The Project is subdivided into 4 Work Packages which are: - WP1-ACAF: the Adriatic Coastal Areas Forecasting system - WP2-IRMA: Integrated River basin and wastewater Management - WP3-ACIRI: the ACar-IRma Interface - WP4-MAPCAB: MAnagement of the Project and CApacity Building. OGS is involved for WP1 in the continuation and enhancement of the MFSPP forecasting activities and MFS-VOS system for the Adriatic Sea: for WP4 in the modelling and data acquisition, final archivino of data, web site implementation, dissemination of forecasts and observations.
