Description

Abstract
Clean Sea Life (LIFE15 GIE / IT / 000999), is a LIFE project co-funded by the European Union. The project aims to increase public attention on the amount of waste present at sea and on beaches, show how we are responsible for it and promote active and constant commitment to the environment. In addition to awareness raising, the project is compiling a map highlighting the areas where the accumulation of waste poses a risk for biodiversity. It is also identifying best practices for the prevention and management of marine litter: we will apply them locally and disseminate them nationally and internationally. The project started on 30 September 2016 and will end in 2020. The Asinara National Park is the leader, which carries out the project with the help of partners CoNISMa, Fondazione Cetacea, Legambiente, MedSharks and MPNetwork.
