- This review of the contrasting ecosystems of the Mediterranean is published as part of Trieste Next 2024 27-29 September, following Blu-report: Two Marine Essays Chapter 2 published as part of Trieste Next 2022, and reproduces and ameliorates our draft of 19 April 2024 unabridged. Citations from the mandatory collection Blu-report: Two Marine Essays, published in English Language: en, are not entirely correct, as the chapter 3 in Italian "Aggiornamenti e Approfondimenti" is intended as a didactic framework for Italian students and as a basic dissemination for Italian laypersons, and should be consequently addressed to this occasional article in English "Crispi, G., and Pacciaroni, M.: Sensitivity of the Mediterranean ecosystem to nutrient depositions: An insight, 46 pp., 2024". We also thank the Co‐ordinator of the cited atmospheric deposition project and the partner Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona for disseminating the content of Deliverable D40-M32.
