The new phase of the Ocean Data Interoperability Platform

The project ODIP 2is ready to be launched in January 2015. It is aimed to continue and extend the successful activities of the Ocean Data Interoperability Platform (ODIP) that was initiated in October 2012. The main objective of ODIP 2 is to provide a coordination platform to facilitate effective sharing of data and metadata across large scale ocean and marine data management infrastructures from EU, USA and Australia and also with global portals, such as the Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS) portal, and the International Oceanographic Data and Information Exchange (IODE) of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) of UNESCO’s Ocean Data Portal (ODP).
