The NODC held a lecture at the Advanced Master in Sustainable Blue Growth 2022

On March 23, 2022, during the Advanced Master in Sustainable Blue Growth, Marina Lipizer of the National Oceanographic Data Centre managed by OGS, explained why sharing data, information and best practices is so crucial for making long-term effective decisions to fight against marine pollution. EMODnet Chemistry, together with SeaDataNet and Copernicus Marine Service, was proposed as a key EU data infrastructure that collect and facilitate the use and reuse of marine data and services. The Master is an initiative jointly organised by the University of Trieste and OGS to contribute to the EU sustainable blue economy. The OGS lecture entitled "From good data to good decisions" was attended by 23 international students, holding a master's or PhD in different fields of study ranging from marine science, environmental engineering and climate study, to coastal zone management and environmental economics.
